Posted by
Marion (Nanaimo, BC, Canada) on 17 February 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

This is one of my favorite bee pictures. I took a few so shall show some in the next few days.

Beautiful range of colors. Very nice!

@Ron: Thank you Ron.

Really really wonderful Marion!! Such warm colours... the bee almost looks like he's cresting the top of a mountain after a long climb. But I am curious about the "sky"... was this taken very late in the day?

@amy: Thanks Amy. That's not sky that you see. It is the shed that the flowers are growing against and I also used a Nix Color Efex Pro bi-color filter to add a little color to the upper portion of this picture.

Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United States

This is really a grand capture, Marion ... he's just making his way over the edge of the petal.
I'll ask about the sky also; was this at sunset - or some PS-ing?

@Judy: Thanks Judy, but just as I told Amy, that is not the sky, it is the shed that the flowers are against and yes I did use a filter to change the hue of the shed.
