Delicious colors

Yesterday I pruned my hydrangea bush at the new place and brought home a lot of blossoms. Put them in a vase and was so impressed with all the colors that I took pictures (of course). I cropped and made a border and here it is.

I love the deeper tinge of color hydrangeas take on as they mature ... now, if only we could get them to do this in, say, January! Delicious, indeed ... thanks for breakfast!

we call them "hortensias" in French ... there are a lot in Brittany and they can be either white, blue, purple or pink ! I love them and yours are great !

Beautiful... I really like the blue green combination, very nicely captured. As you are the expert Marion ;) is it necessary to dead-head the old blooms..?

@Observing: Thanks Mike. Absolutely cut back like you were making a bouquet. You dead head rhodos and azeleas but you need to be a little more aggresive with your hydrangeas.
