Virginia Creeper i - weird results

Since the advent of my new computer with Vista on it I will get some pretty weird results when I download the occasional picture. Too hard to try and explain and I usually just delete them, but lately I have tried to crop what is left of the picture that is any good ...here is one such cropping of an area of the pic that was still good. Interesting results, no??

Back from our four day adventure on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Most days were bright and beautiful. I hope you enjoy my pictures.

Looks like a negative to me.I use vista and have had no problems up till now !!

@Anthony: Sure hope that you don't have any problems. You're right, it does look like a negative. Would be interesting to know how the computer "thinks".

It's fantastic Marion, WOW, I never delete photos, and this here above is one of the reasons why, out of nothing good, you can create astonishing art...bravo dear girl, who I did not call Barb ;) (but I went back to check the name, just to be sure)

@Lorraine: You are getting better at remembering names. ;) Thanks for the lovely compliment, but as Judy says Vista skewed my picture. Good that I always take more than one of the same thing.

I've had the odd problem and I've put it down to the new tft monitor. but this has turned out brilliantly Marion, a fabulous colour combination.

Hmmmmmmm, I wonder why Vista would skew your photos? How do you like the learning curve that goes with it? ;D
What you salvaged of the photo is colorful, clear; the berries look suspended in mid-air!

@Judy: I wish I knew why Vista does such rude things to my picture downloads. Sometimes it really ruins what would otherwise be a good photo. It has really messed up my videos. Some of them will start out OK and then stop the video part and still give me the audio. Crazy....guess I need to get my very busy grandson over to have a look.

nice save.... I made my husband go and buy me a new computer with XP on it and I gave him the one with vista... it did not work with my photo programs.....

I use XP, so I really can't comment. However, this photo is interesting because it has a 3-D effect with crazy colors. Maybe Vista needs to be calibrated.....??

hey Marion! this is definitely very interesting indeed! i have never heard of such a thing happening! but i do like these results! vivid brightness -- neon even! and it makes for very engaging spacial dynamics!!! i would love to see some of the other 'strange' anomalies your computer produces!!! :D

It looks very interesting, Marion. I've not experienced the problems you are having. I installed Vista only recently and aside from the "repositioning" of various control utilities I'm wondering if I just bought something that is a little prettier... I'm not unhappy with it.
