The baby finches have arrived at our feeder. This picture was taken through the window. I am not sure why their little feathers on the top of their heads look like that, but they sure are cute.
I am on holidays from August 17th until August 26th ....whee!! Although I will be home for the first few days, on the 21st we are heading to the States mainly to go to Tacoma Washington to attend the Gaither Gospel Homecoming Tour on Friday the 22nd. We are in for a real treat. We will also be tourists for a while and hopefully will come back with lots of good pictures. Anyhow, all of that to say I probably won't be visiting your wonderful sites for at least the 21st - 26th, but I promise I will catch up. I will prepost.
So pretty. I love the feathers sticking out!

Sweet shot, Marion. They really are a joy to watch and follow. You've captured a particularly handsome trio, here, and I love the deep green background to complete the very well composed shot.

@Ron: I know, there are mornings when I just sit and watch them flit here and there and I love listening to their chatter. Another one of God's beautiful creations.
Ohhhhhhh, this makes me think of the baby bird that was pushed out of the birdhouse - twice. ;( I love the little feathers sticking out - looking like hat pins! <giggle>

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine. We are kind of in limbo until the place that we are in sells. By tomorrow we will have two homes which means two mortgages. Yikes, we really need to sell this one. I'd buy it in a heart beat. But downsize we must if we want to retire.

@Anthony Lambert: Thanks Anthony. Cleo is an inside kitty, but this is her "television". She sits in the window and watches them.
