Laurent from Lyon, Francej'aime beaucoup la lumière et la texture de ces pétales flétries. 10 Jun 2008 5:04am mosleh from kurdestan_baneh, Iranbeautiful shot and color I like it . well done :) 10 Jun 2008 5:26am @mosleh: Thanks Mosleh. Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesOh, Marion ... it's amazing what's packed inside ... no wonder they look like crinkled paper when they emerge. 10 Jun 2008 5:48am @Judy: And now after last night's heavy rainfall and wind they are laying on the ground just beaten down. I guess that proves never miss an opportunity to take a picture. Ras from Plano, United StatesI love the youthfulness in this one, I am looking forward to seeing the future of this poppy. 10 Jun 2008 6:41am @Ras: I posted them backwards Ras. The rain destroyed them last night, but the picture of them in full bloom was in yesterday's blog. Anthony Lambert from GermanyVisiting your site every day Marion transports me to another place and the touch of a key(sometimes a very pink place).Keep posting and keep taking pictures. It´s a pleasure viewing !! 10 Jun 2008 6:56am @Anthony Lambert: Thanks Anthony. I enjoy your pictures too. zOOm from Paris, FranceIt's always a joy to see them on the edge... of blooming (don't if this is grammatically correct, but I try !)... a wonderful colour for this one... almost like a rose... that's an awesome composition Marion. 10 Jun 2008 7:14am @zOOm: Thanks zOOm, your grammer is just fine. They are like paper too because they can't withstand too much trauma. The rainstorm last night pretty well did them in. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaShows the signs of a brilliant mind (going backwards LOL) I love the intensity of this marvelous photograph 10 Jun 2008 9:58am @Lorraine: You're funny Lorraine. A brillant mind, no way. I'm stuffed up with a head cold and the brain is not firing on all cylinders. Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesVery pretty flower. And thanks for suggesting my flower is a lily. However, it isn't. I put a couple of links at my site to show the type of philodendron it is. This is almost-tropical Florida, they grow that big in these parts. We have them growing this big in our yard. And that is "Phil" as I photographed "him" here. No kidding. 10 Jun 2008 10:44am @Viewfinder: You're right, I'm wrong. I shouldn't make comments late at night when my brain power is fading. I'm thinking rhododendruns and you are talking philodendruns. Duh!!! I haven't seen one of them for years. They are a tropical plant so no chance of seeing one here in the rainy Northwest region. The light, the focus and composition tells me you are a perfectionist and you know how to use that lovely camera. 10 Jun 2008 4:49pm @Observing: Thank you so much. Now I am going to have to deal with a swelled head. ;D Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesGreat detail... things one often overlooks.
