Shuva Brata Deb from Hyderabad, IndiaLooks very good with the black back ground of the page. 15 May 2008 6:15am Anthony Lambert from GermanyI´ve just planted Petunias on my balcony for the summer but they are yellow and purple !! Nice light in this shot and loads of lovely PINK :) 15 May 2008 6:18am @Anthony Lambert: These are from last year. I don't know what color I will plant this year as we are just in the middle of a move. Yellow and purple sounds wonderful. Purple IS my favorite color!! akarui from Kagoshima, JapanThere are nice details on those flowers and I especially like the flower in the position 1 third in the low-right. Which flower is your main subject? Is it the round one with the highlights near the left border? It is the first flower that we see anyway with the clear ones on the low border... I would prefer a crop on the right (just in the middle of the flower that I like) but a crop in contrary on the left is also possible. It only depends on what you want to show. 15 May 2008 6:39am @akarui: I had not singled out any one flower as my main subject. I usually show macro pictures of flowers, however this time I just wanted to show the mass of flowers. Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceHi, Marion... Beautiful light and colors on this photo... Thank you for your visit... My daily photo is a macro of a young flower of horse chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum) 15 May 2008 7:33am Observing from Chester, United KingdomA sea.... or a waterfall :) looks lovely all those pink and red tones. 15 May 2008 9:21am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesBeautiful colors! Nice composition, Marion. I like the way the light is hitting the foreground flowers. 15 May 2008 10:14am @Betty: Thanks Betty. I love your pictures too. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAnd look so beautiful too Marion, your flower photographs are wonderful. 15 May 2008 10:28am @MaryB: Thanks Mary, I love photographing flowers. They are such marvelous creations. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesA beautiful color combination ... gardening and photography make for a nice match! 15 May 2008 12:35pm @Ron: You are right, that is probably why I like gardening so much, in anticipation of what photos I can get of God's beautiful creation. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI think I want to dance with them, bravo on this beautiful flower shot Marion :) 15 May 2008 12:39pm @Lorraine: That would be a pretty sight. :D Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesVery good, Marian. Getting the colors right on petunias that are deeply colored is very difficult for me. 15 May 2008 12:53pm @Earnest: I think it is for most people. I have red azeleas and the post for Saturday is a close up of some of them and you can never get their true color, but I tried. Thanks for your comment. amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaIt's a sea of pink!! This is how to fill a frame with colour!! VERY nicely done, Marion!! 15 May 2008 2:23pm @amy: Thanks Amy. I wonder what it would look like in your hands!! You would do something marvelous to it. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaI just played catch up with your blog for the past few days Marion - what gorgeous macro's you have - your flower shots are so beautiful - you're an inspiration to me! :) 15 May 2008 3:02pm @Mandy: Thank you Mandy. You're an inspiration to me as well. Flowers are perhaps my favorite medium.
