This is a white rhododendrun. The buds are pink. Such a delicate spring flower.

Soooo lovely! It's raining heavily here, near Yokohama, and I'm thinking of all the azaleas and rhodies that are going to get drenched and finished!

I agree these are such a thrill in springtime. You have managed to handle the difficult extremes of light well here. Impressive stuff.

@Judy: I thought it was at first too and got all excited, but it is just the tip of the pistol just like the one in the lower left hand flower.
I love lilies. You've captured the delicate beauty perfectly. Great depth of field.

@Wendysworks: It does look similar to a lily, but this is a rhododendrun and it produces masses of flowers on a bush. Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it.
This one is fantastic... great light, details and colors... and you have a bonus: the lady bug !!!
