Crossing paths

B. C. Ferries. This is our mode of transportation between Vancouver Island and the mainland. It is a one hour and 35 minute trip. There is a coffee shop, a full resturant, gift shop and amenities on the ferry and it goes by very quickly. We were on another ferry when I took this picture. The sun was just staring to rise.

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine, the boat against the early morning sun was pretty beautiful and thankfully it passed fairly close to us so I could get a good shot with my little pocket camera.

I love the glint of the early morning sun on the back side of the ferry and on the mountains in the distance. I didn't realize (frankly, I hadn't looked into it) that you lived off the mainland on an island ... now that I've googled your location ... I see. It must be an amazing and beautiful place! @Ron: Thanks Ron. It is a beautiful place with Victoria the capital city of British Columbia situated right on the Southern most tip of Vancouver Island and Nanaimo being about half way up on the Eastern coast. Then further North we have some more beautiful cities and towns where there is an abundance of whales and other marine life. Then on the Western side of Vancouver Island facing out towards Hawaii we have Ucluelet and Tofino with long beach inbetween them. Totally wild beauty. I love it here.

@Judy: I think this was taken on our way to Las Vegas in November...that's why the sun was just coming up half way to Vancouver, tee hee. I would be so excited if you were riding on one of these ferries again....that would mean you were on your way to visit us.
