sea stack on the Oregon Coast

This is a realitively "small" sea stack compared to some of the monoliths that pepper the Oregon coast. I loved the starkness of this shot.

Back from our four day adventure on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Most days were bright and beautiful. I hope you enjoy my pictures.

The starkness is perfect. Excellent, Marion!! This is one of the things I so love about the Oregon coast... those vast beaches and the monoliths.

I can call the rock an apostle...there are twelve such rocks in Australia (seen in pics only)...The mist in the horizon makes this excellent. Just try to keep the subjects off-centre according to classical rules of photography, hope you don't mind my saying this Marion

@Angshuman: I do not mind your critique Angshuman. However, it is sometimes hard to follow all the classical rules of photography when you are standing on a cliff overlooking the beach with the wind howling and almost blowing you over. It was also a handheld photo (no tripod), so I was pretty pleased with the results.

The shape of this solitary sea stack is very interesting...
